Scope
Rahao experiences support wellbeing, learning and reflection. They are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, psychological or emergency care.
Share relevant information
Participants should disclose information reasonably relevant to safe participation, including pregnancy, significant cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, musculoskeletal or mental-health concerns, recent surgery, acute illness, medication effects or accessibility needs.
Breath and movement practices
Some breathing, movement, cold, fasting, sound or sensory practices may not be suitable for every person. Follow modifications, do not force a technique and stop when there is pain, distress, dizziness, numbness, disorientation or other concerning symptoms.
Emotional material
Reflection and group work can bring up strong emotions. Participation and personal sharing should involve choice. A general program cannot provide the containment or follow-up of individual clinical care.
Medical advice
Seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional when uncertain whether a practice or program is suitable. In an emergency, contact local emergency services rather than Rahao.
Facilitator discretion
Facilitators may suggest modification, pause or withdrawal where participation appears unsafe or outside the program’s scope.
